We love visiting any and all National Parks! But there is something special about visiting those that aren’t packed full of people that make them even more special.

Honestly I don’t know why these aren’t visited as much as the other larger parks? Maybe the name of one? Or the location of another? But in any case you are going to want to put in the effort to check these National Parks out.
Here they are:

Dry Tortugas National Park

I mean just look at that water color!!
Dry Tortugas National Park is filled with natural beauty, amazing birdwatching, snorkeling plus seclusion and solitude. You won’t want to miss visiting Fort Jefferson to learn about the historical significance of the Dry Tortugas.
When you visit you will want to make your reservations early, be sure to check the weather conditions and pack the essentials you will need to be out on the water and at these remote islands for the day. Don’t forget your snorkeling gear and be sure to follow leave no trace principles.
We recommend visiting on a trip to Key West via a Florida Keys Road Trip or a National Park Road Trip but be prepared that it does take some effort to make the trip possible – but know it is 100% worth it!

Death Valley National Park
You will want to add Death Valley National Park to your National Park Road Trip or Southern California trip. It is such a unique place to explore! The name may scare you for a minute. But if you pick the right time to go it is a magical place to explore!
In the summer it can become the hottest place in the US – so we don’t recommend visiting at that time. Instead aim for late fall or winter to explore.
The landscape is so unique and offers a variety of different views. Plus the hiking is well worth it!

North Cascades National Park
North Cascades National Park is one of the lesser visited National Parks in the US. I don’t know why?! There are over 300 Glaciers here! It was gorgeous and is definitely a National Park you should have you on your list. There are so many amazing things To Do In North Cascades National Park.
North Cascades is located in northern Washington state. You could do a day trip from Seattle but we recommend planning a whole weekend or longer in the park.
We did one of our all time favorite hikes here where we hiked to a Glacier! On the hike we saw 3 bears and a cub. Plus saw so many glaciers we lost count!
