Check out our amazing Baja California road trip where we experience Mexican Culture at its finest! We departed from the San Diego area for a 3 month round trip of the peninsula from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific Ocean. We had amazing experience from petting Grey Whales in the San Ignacio Laguna to seeing sea lions of of Isla Partida near La Paz. We’ll share all the details including the rugged terrain through the national park and the Sierra de la Giganta and not to mention the fabulous beaches like Bahia de Los Angeles and Los Cerritos.

My parents rented a UTV in Los Barriles - Baja, Mexico so we loaded the 6 of us into it and took off for an off roading adventure to a beautiful snorkeling beach and a waterfall! It was so much fun driving in the 4X4 and the kids loved riding in it. Week 4 1/2 - We visited the Ecoturismo Kuyima in San Ignacio, Baja, Mexico and went out on a boat in the lagoon to go whale watching and to pet and kiss these amazing, beautiful, peaceful and playful animals! It was an unbelievable experience and something to add to your bucket list!! Week 4 1/2 - We visited the Ecoturismo Kuyima in San Ignacio, Baja, Mexico and went out on a boat in the lagoon to go whale watching and to pet and kiss these amazing, beautiful, peaceful and playful animals! It was an unbelievable experience and something to add to your bucket list!!

Week 4 - We headed from San Felipe down to San Ignacio. During this time we would be out of cell/internet range for 6 of the 7 days. We visited a hot spring, drove down roads that weren't really roads and spent amazing days on the beach! We found multiple campsites where the ocean was literally 20 feet from our front door. There were some scary and uncertain times, lots of wind, some sunshine and tons of amazing adventure! Week 2 - Our first stop in Baja, Mexico is the gorgeous beaches of San Felipe and an RV park with palapas! After crossing the border, we drove the 2.5 hours from Mexicali to San Felipe for our first stop. We found a great camping spot at La Palapa RV Camp and settled in for a couple weeks. We had a great time hanging out on the beach, which was right in our backyard, as well as walking in to San Felipe's Malecon, which is a street right on the waterfront that has a bunch of restaurants, bars and street vendors. Our favorite restaurant was Taco Factory, which is where we watched Super Bowl 52. You really can't beat chips and salsa and a cold beer in Mexico! We took to the sea with Captain Queso for a couple of fishing expeditions. We caught several days worth of fish and surprisingly all the kids loved having a fish fry. This is definitely a town we will be back to!
